Miniatures and Ghost Leaves: Conversations Between Tradition and Imagination
This winter, explore the delicate intimacy of miniature painting and the ephemeral beauty of nature in my latest works. From the wildlife-inspired watercolours White Rabbit and Sparrow at Galerie CAVA’s Miniatures exhibition, to the layered, textural Ghost Leaf paintings at the YUL Be Amazed Show, these pieces transform traditional techniques into contemporary meditations on scale, memory, and the fleeting beauty of the natural world. Experience how history meets innovation in small-scale works and seasonal landscapes.
Tradition and Transformation: Exploring the Now Through Miniatures and Nature
"From Mughal florals to Inuit stone prints and European landscapes, centuries of artistic technique shaped the way we see and create. In my ghost leaf prints and miniature mountain paintings, I explore these traditions while bringing them into the present—layering texture, surrealism, and a love of nature to create something entirely my own. Discover how history informs but doesn’t define contemporary expression."

What Remains: A Painting of Struggle and Seasons
What Remains began as a simple plein air sketch of driftwood in March 2025, but it became a six-month journey through struggle, persistence, and change. Layered with memories of hikes, plein air sessions, and studio practice, the painting carries the shifting light of spring, the warmth of summer, and the reflective quiet of autumn. It is both a landscape and a meditation on what endures — in nature, and in the act of painting itself.
