This summer, I’ve been painting live at the University of Alberta Botanical Garden as part of an art residency rooted in reflection and nature. From quick ink sketches to delicate watercolour postcards, each piece captures the quiet essence of the Japanese Garden. While most paintings will debut in a future exhibit, visitors can catch a glimpse on Sundays while I paint onsite.

As part of Edmonton’s Co-Existence with Urban Coyotes project, I joined local efforts to observe and document coyote activity in our city. The newly published academic paper highlights how community input shapes our understanding of urban wildlife and coexistence.
