🌿 Sundays in Bloom: My Artist Residency at the Botanical Garden

Every Sunday this summer, you’ll find me tucked between blossoms and trees at the beautiful Botanical Garden in Devon, Alberta, painting, sketching, and creating work rooted in the living landscape around me.

This artist residency is more than just time to create — it's an invitation. I’m using these quiet garden Sundays to slow down, reconnect with the natural world, and offer a space for others to do the same.

🖌 What Happens on Sundays?

From late morning to afternoon, I work plein air (outdoors), capturing the movement of petals, the changing light, and the unexpected beauty of wild spaces. Some days are about painting full landscapes; other days, it’s about observing one small flower and letting it guide the brush.

🎨 Workshops & Collaborations

This fall and late summer, I’ll be hosting intimate painting workshops in the garden — no experience needed, just curiosity and appreciation for nature.

• Garden lovers who want to co-create

• Ideas for small pop-up exhibits, live demos, or poetry-art gatherings

Much of my recent work, including Stillness in the Reeds and Where the Waters Meet, is inspired by places like this — spaces where water, light, and silence offer a deeper kind of connection.
