Update: Co-Existing with Urban Coyotes in Edmonton
Over the past year, I’ve been proud to participate in the Co-Existence with Urban Coyotes project in partnership with the City of Edmonton. This community-based initiative invites residents to observe and report on coyote activity in our neighborhoods, contributing to a greater understanding of how humans and wildlife can share urban spaces. It’s a thoughtful and respectful approach to cohabitation, grounded in ecological awareness and mutual respect.
I'm excited to share that the academic paper based on this research has now been published. The findings offer important insights into urban coyote behavior and how our collective efforts can help shape more sustainable and informed urban planning. You can read the full paper here: .
