It is with great pleasure that I announce the forthcoming showcase of my painting featuring the glacier waters of Banff.

This exhibition is aimed at raising awareness of the importance of water conservation and is scheduled to take place at the Gallery and on Artsy from April to October 2024. The painting is expected to draw attention to the fragility of our water resources and inspire conversations on the need for sustainable practices in water management. As a professional artist, I am honoured to contribute to this cause, and I hope that my work will facilitate meaningful discussions that lead to positive outcomes.

January - May and might extend till Fall 2024 I’m painting at the St-Anthony’s building with the help of investors from the Foundry Rooms to help build that into a Studio and Event space.

Seeing its history, the best way I could think of doing that was to have artists take over the studios and just be. I will be collecting info on the progress and submitting it to the provincial archives for record keeping. Wish me luck!

My painting “Misty Glacier Rivers of Canada, Oil on canvas” will be on a digital exhibit at the Gallery during the Biennale D’arte Di Venezia in Italy.

“Mariam Qureshi, a proficient artist, was presented with an opportunity to work in a building under the ownership of The Foundry Room. Following discussions with Eva.T., one of the owners of the building, they reached a decision to convert the space into a studio that would cater to artists seeking to teach and host creative events. In the month of March, Mariam took the initiative to invite a select group of artists to leverage the available space for studio work and to establish networks that would foster the creation of innovative events. Presently, Mariam Qureshi and Riley Tenove maintain a regular presence at the studios and are working towards developing painting workshops and drawing classes for public participation. Additionally, a handful of other highly creative artists have their works on display on the walls of the building, which serves to create an environment that is both stimulating and inspiring.” - LotusArtGallery

Vernissage March 6, 2024

An upcoming group art exhibit, featuring five noteworthy contemporary French artists, is set to take place in Alberta. A showcase of the artists' unique interpretations of "Nuance" will be presented. We cordially invite you to the vernissage and, should you be unable to attend, the exhibit will remain open until April.

I am pleased to announce that I will be exhibiting two oil paintings, one of which was previously on display at the Louvre in Paris during a temporary exhibit in 2017. 2024 Scenes from Canada Exhibit.

I received a recognized artist reviews at the Federation Gallery of Canadian Artists for a painting which will be on exhibit this winter. I will add more details as they come in! I’m happy that this painting of Elk Island will be on exhibit. I love that National Park and all its wilderness.

I submitted one of my Mountain Hike Inspired painting for an exhibit completion and am really happy to announce that it will be digitally on exhibit in the Venezia2 art exhibit in Zurich. The exhibit opens Jan 17, 2024

Celebrating Life, Group Exhibit New York City Grimandy Art Gallery 98 Colombus Avenue, NY USA.

Opening Night celebrations: Sept 1, 2023.

This will be my first group exhibit in New York City. I am very honoured to be part of this opportunity. I will exhibit 2 of my paintings among several other amazing artists.

The two paintings I will exhibit are painted in my very own style which I have developed over the years by taking inspiration from fine art painters such as Turner, Monet, Pollock, O’Keefe, Duchamp, Picasso and Gerard Richter. I have painted these two paintings in bold yet mat acrylic colours on canvas. They are both very colourful and express my understanding of movement, layers, depth and light.

Both subjects are also inspired by my passion for the natural environment and my desire for sustainable choices.

I am excited to meet the group of artists who were juried and curated into the show. During the opening night, I would like to read a poem as my artist statement and will be available for questions.

Welcome to my latest solo art exhibit. This exhibition is a celebration of the beauty and magnificence of nature. I have meticulously created pieces that are an amalgamation of movement, light and depth of the natural world.

The featured piece of the exhibit is a visually stunning painting with 3D chromatic effects. It is an interactive piece that is sure to capture the attention of the viewer. I also experimented with sculptures in concrete and glass, which are on full display.

Additionally, I spent the entire summer creating six beautiful paintings, each measuring 36x36 inches in size. These paintings are truly a sight and showcase my dedication.

The exhibit also features a range of photography apparel and Paint Night gift boxes. These unique pieces, I hope are a perfect addition to any art lover's collection.

Open spaces is a collaboration between artists. It’s an exhibit during which artist get together and share thier work, while the works are also available for the public to see. It started in 2020 at Terry P Gallery and this year it’s happening again there. I will be there to share a paint or two.

I have been jurried to participate in the Swiss art expo 2023 with my painting “Summer Long Board Vibes”.

The art festival with 80,000 passers-by every day at the most visited hotspot in Zurich is always full of excitement and wonders! I hope showcasing my work will open new opportunities for me.

Alliance Francais in Edmonton hosted private exhibits. November 2023 they asked me to exhibit this painting.

To celebrate the importance of a healthy forest I have also written an article published in Nature Conservancy of Canada.

Twenty-eighteen marked the Diamond Jubilee of His Highness the Aga Khan, a milestone that was celebrated by the Shia Ismaili Muslim Community around the world. At that time the Jubilee Arts Festival, an international programme that celebrates the community’s vast artistic skills, cultural traditions and endeavors. This year they reignite the creativity in the Canadian Ismaili community through a programme called “Illume”, the first festival bringing our entire Canadian Jamat together to celebrate talent across both arts and sports.

They have invited me to be part of the jury. It will be an honour to do this. I wish the artists best of luck and hope to see amazing art!

This exhibit is located in the offices of the organization, End Poverty Edmonton. This is a non-profit working hard to bridge the economic gap between the extremely rich and extremely poor.

This exhibit is organized by Terry Perry Gallery. A local artist run art gallery in Edmonton. Terry is an artist and wanted to give artists the opportunities to use art for social justice issues they find are dear to them.

I did some outdoor garden exhibits with Terry and few other artists during the Pandemic and created Open spaces where people could come and enjoy the fresh air of a garden and some culture such as fine art, despite the depression followed by Covid.

It is always a pleasure to work with Terry. This year I will be in this show that he is curating. Poverty has always effected me and so many people I know and I think if people can help bridge the gap between the poor and the rich with art, I want to make sure my art serves that purpose.

I will be exhibiting 4 larger paintings which actually took a few years to complete, because sometimes painting about a heavier issue can take longer than expected but I’m really happy that these painting will be in this show.

I Really hope that you will come out to visit this Organization and donate towards the cause.

I will be posting about the Opening night dates, as soon as this becomes obvious.

Bay1gallery is hosting a spring art show with art by local artists including my self and we would like to invite you to come by and see amazing, beautiful, earthy fine art and woodwork.

A group exhibit by local artist is Edmonton at which this painting will be exhibited.

A lot of people asked me about my roots and my background, so I submitted 3 small ink drawings on paper titled “Racine Nomades” which express my roots and this painting which is titled “Maison Lynx/healthy forest floor” which is based on nature which are the roots of my imagination. I guess what I’m trying to express with this exhibit is that a home is where the heart is and thats my background, my nomadic roots and art!

The residencies will take place at the premises of the Troupe du jour as well as at Paved Arts in Saskatoon in Saskatchewan, for a period of 7 days in October 2022.

Explosition miniature / Miniture art exhibit

I will be taking part in the miniature art exhibit again this year. Last year I exhibited my bird series. This Year, I want to show you some wood burn work on birch wood panels along with a painting on the members wall.

On going is an art exhibit which I curate with art by local artists. It is on the theme of self portraits. The exhibit has a open call so any new artist can join at anytime. I wanted to showcase the talent around me and show the various types of art being created. The exhibit is on ARTFARE, hope you get a chance a to see it and if you are looking for local art you don’t want to miss it because you will be introduced to amazing contemporary art pieces made by amazing local artists I have come to know and worked with in Edmonton, AB.

I know that some of my followers live in California and love to show support for organizations and artists working towards water conservation. The Laguna beach art gallery is an art gallery that gives a visual voice to that case and artists like me who love to paint for nature are proud to be part of the group. My work is currently available at the gallery if you live there. I will be helping donate some of the profits I make from those sales towards ocean clean up. Come out and meet some more artists on the south side of town!

Last summer, I volunteered to collect data about water in the hopes to add data to knowledge about the conservation of lakes and wetlands. The time I spent on the water at Telford Lake inspired me to paint a painting about the reflection of water. It is one of many painting I made on the subject of water. I will be exhibiting two paintings on water at this show and would love for you to come see them.
