What Remains: A Painting of Struggle and Seasons
What Remains began as a simple plein air sketch of driftwood in March 2025, but it became a six-month journey through struggle, persistence, and change. Layered with memories of hikes, plein air sessions, and studio practice, the painting carries the shifting light of spring, the warmth of summer, and the reflective quiet of autumn. It is both a landscape and a meditation on what endures — in nature, and in the act of painting itself.
