Volunteering at the Snow Goose Festival – Celebrating Spring Migration
This spring, I’ll be volunteering at the Snow Goose Festival, a joyful community event that marks the return of migratory birds to Alberta. If all goes well, I’ll be there to lend a hand during the guided hikes, birdwatching tours, and family-friendly activities.
As an artist deeply inspired by the natural world, these moments of connection with wildlife are central to my creative process. Observing the rhythms of migration and the fragile beauty of bird habitats reminds me why I paint and why I create—to honour nature, to spark awareness, and to encourage conservation through visual storytelling.
Come witness the flocks of snow geese in flight and learn how the local bird observatory is working to protect these species and support vital research. It’s an inspiring way to welcome spring, connect with nature, and see how art and conservation can work hand in hand.
