Welcome to Art Classes with Mariam Qureshi! Whether you’re just starting or an experienced artist, these classes are designed to unlock your creative potential. Learn to express yourself through vibrant colors, dynamic brushwork, and unique techniques in a welcoming, supportive environment.

Each class is held in the inspiring setting of Galerie Cava, where you’ll not only learn new artistic skills but also get the chance to create in a beautiful art gallery space.

What you will learn?

  • Exploring Abstract Landscapes

    Learn how to create stunning abstract landscapes using bold brushwork and vibrant colors. You’ll be inspired by nature and pieces like "Elk Island Waters" to capture feelings of serenity.

    Mediums we will explore are acrylic, watercolour, and mixed media.

  • Mastering Light & Shadow

    Understand how light plays a role in creating drama and atmosphere in your paintings. We’ll use pieces like "Echos of shadows" to explore how light can enhance your work.

    Depending on the reference painting, mediums will be provided.

  • Impressionistic Brushstrokes

    Discover how to express emotion through free-flowing brushstrokes. We’ll study techniques from paintings like "Leaves by the River" to help you depict movement and energy through mark making.

    You will get to try various brush techniques with the brushes I will provide.

  • Building Textures & Depth

    Learn how to add depth and texture to your work using mixed media techniques, inspired by pieces like "Wild Roses and Old Factories".

    I will show you how to use the right colours, compositions and tools for creating textures that enhance depth.

Class Structure

Duration: Each class runs for 2 hours. We’ll spend time on demonstrations, followed by guided painting time, and personalized feedback.

  1. Materials: All materials are provided! From paints to brushes to canvases, I will supply everything you need. All you need to bring is your creativity!

  2. Group Setting: Classes are designed to keep a small group size to ensure personalized attention and a relaxed, inspiring atmosphere.

  3. Location: Classes will be held at Galerie Cava, an art gallery that provides a creative space for you to explore and create your artwork in a professional setting.

  4. Skill Level: Classes are for all levels! Whether you're a beginner or an experienced artist, I will guide you every step of the way.

  • Price per Class (2 Hours): $80 + GST
    This price includes:

    • Full access to art supplies (paints, brushes, canvases, and more)

    • Personalized instruction tailored to your level

    • Use of the stunning Galerie Cava space for your artistic experience

    Please note that Galerie Cava takes a 30% commission on each class, which is included in the price.

    Once you have confirmed your registration, payment is due to secure your spot. Classes are non-refundable but can be rescheduled with at least 48 hours' notice.

    • Payment Methods: You can pay online through the website once the class date is confirmed or at the gallery on the day of the class.

    • Non-Refundable Policy: Please note that the class fee is non-refundable. However, rescheduling is possible with at least 48 hours' notice. If you cannot attend the class, please contact me promptly, and we will arrange a new time.
